Queensland Group

The Queensland operations include Wrotham Park, Allawah and Isis Downs.  Wrotham Park is predominantly a commercial breeding property and Allawah’s focus is stud breeding operations.  Isis Downs is a mixture of commercial breeding operations plus fattening cattle.

Markets targeted by this group include the Jap ox and domestic trade, both finished off grass or as feeders to finish through Queensland feedlots.

The mustering season on the southern group is not as defined as in the North, with operations continuing year-round.  There are up to 35 employees working within this group of properties.

Allawah is our elite genetics unit located near Biloela. This stud breeds bulls for the multiplier stud herds at Newcastle Waters and Bunda, from which CPC's commercial bull requirements are supplied.

All station operations are headed by the General Manager, Henry Burke. Henry is based in Katherine, NT. It is his role to manage the group and assist the managers to achieve their targets in line with CPC's five-year strategic plan.
