Dungowan

This 4,370 sq km breeding property is run in conjunction with Newcastle Waters, situated 160 km away. Comprising 60 per cent open bloodwood forest and 40 per cent lancewood and bullwaddy, Dungowan carries 13,000 head, branding 5,000 calves a year.

After weaning, steers are trucked to either Queensland finishing properties for growing out, sent to neighbouring Newcastle Waters, or sent west to Carlton Hill for backgrounding prior to export.
