Dungowan

This 4,370 sq km breeding property is run in conjunction with Newcastle Waters, situated 160 km away. Comprising 60 per cent open bloodwood forest and 40 per cent lancewood and bullwaddy, Dungowan carries 6,500 head, branding 2,000 calves a year.

After weaning, steers are trucked to Mimong in Queensland for growing out on its Mitchell and Flinders grass plains or sent west to Carlton Hill for backgrounding on leucaena prior to export.
