Consolidated Pastoral Company Pty Ltd (CPC), the pastoral division of the Packer Families Consolidated Press Holdings Ltd, was formed in 1983 with the purchase of Newcastle Waters Station, and some smaller Northern Territory holdings, from Ashburton Pastoral Company.

Since that time, strategically located properties have been purchased in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales allowing CPC to access the expanding South-East Asian live export trade, grass fed Jap Ox and the local domestic market.

Concentration on the vast grazing areas across northern Australia has enabled successful drought management, market flexibility, easy access to export markets and low cost production of high quality grassfed, lotfed and export cattle.

CPC owns 17 properties totalling 5 million hectares, and following the 1993 purchase of the international agricultural consulting and management company, GRM International Pty Ltd (GRM), CPC became responsible for the management of more than 300,000 cattle across North Australia.

At the helm of CPC is Managing Director and Chairman of the board Ken Warriner, a former co-owner of Ashburton Pastoral Company.

His commitment to excellence in beef production has placed the company at the forefront of Australia's pastoral industry, while CPC's expansion into meat processing (in partnership with Teys Bros), trading and exporting (Austrex), and international rural management (GRM) have extended that reputation across the world.
